I love this object for its art and function. Hourglass-Inspired Tea Timer both Times & Steeps Hot Tea without any unnecessary bells or whistles (let alone a power cord). It is as simple as it beautiful. Just pour, screw, tip over and wait.
A pair of identical glass vessels twist together mechanically via a plastic joiner piece to form the sealed middle between two hourglass-shaping bulbs. The Hourglass is sized for a single two-person serving of tea.
The art and simplicity are not without some options. There are three settings in the middle which allow the user to select the duration for the steeping process. So, you can adjust depending on tea types you like and your personal preferences.
Once flipped, the top glass drains into the bottom and the loose leaves linger above – beautifully elemental and visually useful.
